The lavender begins waking up in spring once the hard frosts are behind us. That's when we're busy mowing, weeding, replanting—and constantly hovering over the plants looking for fresh sprigs of green and the first tiny buds.
Our field typically opens for U-Pick lavender during the third or fourth week of June. We make a big deal out of the first harvest, which often coincides with the Summer Solstice, and celebrate the start of lavender season with a special event at the farm.
Lavender season is one of our favorite times of year, but unfortunately, it's also very short. Our U-Pick season typically lasts just 3–4 weeks, depending on the weather and the bloom.

Mother Bird Market is our little farm shop, filled with products made right here at Whispering Lavender Farm along with a thoughtfully selected collection of seasonal home and gift items.
You'll find many of our lavender favorites including salves, lotions and body butters, beard care, tallow-based products, soaps and bath products, as well as a large selection of our hand-poured candles. We also create products in other fragrances and seasonal scents throughout the year, along with gift boxes, special collections and home décor that changes with the seasons.
Mother Bird Market has regular public hours during lavender season, special farm events and select holidays. But you don't have to wait for an event to visit. The market is also open by appointment throughout the year, and many of our returning customers take advantage of flexible appointment times to shop when it works best for them.

During flower season, our self-serve roadside Flower Stand is one of the easiest ways to take a little piece of the farm home with you. We keep it stocked with fresh flowers grown right here at Whispering Lavender Farm, harvested and arranged according to what's blooming in the field that week.
You'll find wrapped market bouquets, mason jar arrangements and bunches of freshly cut flowers ready for your own vase and creativity. Because we grow with the seasons, the selection changes from week to week—and sometimes from one day to the next.
The Flower Stand is typically open from mid-summer through early fall and is located right along the road with easy parking next to the stand. It's completely self-serve, with easy payment options available at the stand.
